hmm, i might have mentioned this before, but i’ve been getting into some punk/emo recently. i did a little hunting for some of the older stuff, but it’s still pretty hard to find. i did decide to list some of the things i’ve found and like on the left. i had a lengthy talk with a friend about how music in a genre sounds the same when you first are getting acquainted with it… um, hmm, i was going to talk about it, but i’m not in the mood to really type right now. part of that whole spending all day doing spanish thing. to summarize, i guess its sort of like sushi: at first anything will do, but then you start to get more selective. also, picking sushi as a preferred food is as abitrary as any other form of food, what’s good or bad is as much extrinsic as intrinsic. ok, now i’m really getting the feeling i’m repeating myself. looping error? heheh.
hey, remember when i said it’s gonna keep getting worse? any, spotted this article. it’s really too bad i never got a chance to go to twilo before it got shut down. looks like it’s been gone since may.
virtual you – a nice article in the current issue of discover magazine about some of what squaresoft went through in making final fantasy (the movie).
the KaZaA Winamp Plug-in is pretty sweet as well.
fasttrack is the company behind the software that powers the morpheus–kazaa network. they just finished v1.3 of their user agent, which is very nice. i playing around w/ morpheus early in the spring (when musiccity was still primarily running on opennap). looks like it’s been doing a lot of growing since then.
yes, everyone (besides me :P) reads mefi, but i just saw this story: “sell a glowstick, go to prison.” not too much of a surprise considering what’s been going on with the “war on drugs” in the past two decades. it’s pretty sad where it’s come too, but it’s gonna keep getting worse.
hey pizz, you didn’t leave a return address. 😛
interesting stuff that one comes upon putting off spanish homework: politician voter management 101.
