i will be in boston from the 10th to the 12th. i’ll be staying over at a friend’s and generally just hangin around doin nothing. also, partly because of this, i decided to update my contact page in case anyone needs to reach me – it’s now possible to send sms wireless text messages to me. (wee) it took slightly longer than i thought it would, but it’s done now, and that’s the important thing.

hmm, looks like i still need to do some client side work to make it all nice in mozilla, but isn’t that the way w/ everything. definitely later…

oh, did i mention that cURL is super cool? it’s an awesome tool along the lines of wget but handier. actually, the great thing about it is that php 4.0.2 and up can access libcurl to download pages (or in my sms case, to simply touch a cgi) w/ a set of curl functions. actually, it’s interesting looking through the latest chapters of the php manual. seems like there are waaay more (like double) functions than i remember, even as recently as late summer.

hmm, your really got to ask, how much drama can go on in one state. tons of fishiness in the epcot center state.

so, after some icky setup work, i got aolserver up. the openacs setup looks pretty messy though. have to fix the postgre modules and other stuff like that. ooh fun.

i would take this over stretching a large canvas anyday. 3’x4′ unprimed on cheap strether bars == world of hurt
