Mac observations:
- I’m running the latest (Nov.4.2003) Alpha of Adium 2.0. It’s quite nice. The new site is at SF. the strange thing of course is that the old site is still around. Now if only it could do file transfers (AV would be an added bonus)
- I’m using Mail for email now. v1.5 actually does organization by threading properly on Panther. Well, not properly. Visually it’s nice, but it does some sort of weird subject-line matching, and apparently ignores the RFC reply fields entirely? You know, jwz wrote a how-to on message threading, oh what 5, 6 years ago? There are a few other things I miss from Mozilla Mail, like easy filtering (especially to see only new messages), labels. I may switch back…
- One of the reasons I’m no longer using Mozilla Mail is because I’m trying the switch to using Mozilla Firebird as my primary browser. I installed about two-dozen extensions during a session and but it managed to restart OK, so I’m taking that as a good sign.
- Quicktime Player AppleScripts – never noticed this before. Some good stuff
