I’ve been pretty sick over the past few days. Work has been interrupting, but I’ve been doing the whole getting lots of sleep and drinking hot soup thing today.
Gonna run some log analysis on the past two day’s traffic for work – 2.1GB worth of access and about 25MB worth of error logs.
Some random stuff:
- I just finally got around to reading Congressman Villanueva’s reply letter to Microsoft. I heard the OSCON panel Dr. Villanueava participated was also very good. I went to the Abuse Detection in Apache panel at that time slot.
- There’s going to be a Sam and Max Hit the Road sequel. The original was definitely one of the best SCUMM games ever. The funny thing is I think I still have an extra shrinkwrapped copy of the talkie somewhere. In the /. thread, some people talked about ScummVM, which is great for running SCUMM games on other platforms, but for running them on W2K, I’ve found that al I need is VDMSound, a kick ass software MPU-401 emulator. Hmm, another tangent: this day after the day of the tentacle comic strip rocks!
- Justin invited me to be an editor on the newly restyled bud.com. Hmm, when I get some time, I’ll have to post some stuff up sometime.
- I also got the new Bright Eyes album from the Saddle Creek store in the mail the other day. Good stuff. Tickets for their 10/10 show at the El Rey are going onsale this Saturday at 10am. Hmm, Underworld is going to be be at the Wiltern (walking distance, woo!) 10/21, but it looks like tickets haven’t gone on sale yet.
