handspring seems to be doing things right. they just got fcc approval for two new models – both w/ web, sms, and phone capabilities (gsm). the only thing it seems to be missing is the new palm i705’s always on mail capability (using mobitex like the palm vii’s, not cdpd or gprs).
i haven’t really been keeping up, but this is rather nift as well: handspring is now giving away visorphones for free w/ the purchase of visor and service plan.
