a 30day trial version of luratech’s jpeg2000 photoshop plugin is now available for d/l. for those not in the know, jpeg2000 is a recently approved image standard that’s all kinds of keen: wavelet compression (way better than jpeg’s old dct), streaming (variable length data truncation), lossy or lossless coding, palletized color, multicomponent/region coding, and up to 256 channels (alpha, colospace,) blah blah blah).
