my sennheisers came back in from warranty today. it’s so much better now. it’s sort of weird because i’m readjusting to the neutral sound – i’ve been using my grado sr60s on my computer in lieu of my sennheisers, the grados were much better matched to my pc output- it’s brightness and the low impedence really gave it an extra punch. all the same, i’m glad i have my sennheisers and that their back in working condition. an x-cans hp amp would be awesome, but um.. that would require spending money.
clinton declares self president for life
Proclaiming Nov. 14 a new national holiday as “Day One of Americlintonian Year Zero,” Clinton issued a directive of total martial law over “all territories formerly known as these United States, from now on to be called the Holy United Imperial Americlintonian Demopublic (HUIAD).” He added that all election results are “hereby invalidated under Demopublican provisional law.”
mmm, repaints. i should be sleeping.
ontrack’s easy recovery software is a lifesaver. found my photos on my cf card that w2k obliterated when i put the card in the reader.
the sky pilot mozilla skin is so awesome. it’s feels like a strategy game interface. so, browsing w/ this skin is just like playing a video game all day! er… or something like that
for mozilla users who want the new ns6 themes, get em directly from the ftp site
baz luhrmann talks about moulin rouge: how do we understand that da-da da-da-da-da da-daÉ [he sings the famous Offenbach can-can tune] was the most hard-core techno of the time?
in other movie related business, it looks like i might go see 13 days after all. apparently the lotr trailer is gonna be attached to it. oh, it’ll be neat to see craig mullin’s matte painting of the white house as well.
speaking of painting i have a huge one i will will slopping on and finishing tonight/tomorrow… the interesting thing is that i was reading through a random thread on sijun’s digital art forum, and found a link to anders zorn, a swedish painter, whose pallette consisted of four colors, black, white, golden ochre and redwarm red, taking advantage of optical illusions for the rest. i really like the watercolor, Impressions de Londres that was pointed out – the great thing is that a lot of his work has a direct relationship w/ color issues i’m working on w/ my current assignment. isn’t it too bad i’m not learning any of this in class?
it’s amazing how much great stuff is in those forums. doing a 30 day search for anything posted by spooge demon or fred flick stone (craig mullins, and ron lemen) turns up massive amounts of useful information. hmm, i think i need to take some time off and finish up my km tools. although first i need to find some time to finish all the crap that i’ve accumulated over the past few months. it’ll all fit if i cut sleep out of the schedule…
fun w/ darth vader – craig mullins talks about highlight shapes.
gi joe movie on dvd. w/ 25 of those awesome public service announcements – knowing is half the battle!
