i had no idea that there was a usc course guide. apparently there is one, published by the usc student senate, which has the results of the student evaluations for almost every class.
looks like some schools chose not to participate. heheh…

hmm, while this guy’s assessment of “the media business” on the net is accurate (duh), i think that his statements that “The Internet as media has failed,” and “There is no future” are some of the stupidest things i’ve heard recently. for the most part, imo, the internet as media hasn’t even been discovered by most people yet (business people and users)… suffice to say, that the net is not a broadcast medium, and defined on those terms, of course it’s a failure – that’s no the nature of the medium. it’s painfully obvious to see who’s doing it right. the net as media isn’t going away anytime soon. it’s barely even started.

directron has a guide on How to Build a Quiet PC. they of course, sell the parts, including silent fans and power supplies, extra large heat sinks, and an aluminum case. of course, if you’re going for an aluminum case, why not go all the way?
