- RT @dcurtis: SpaceX's entire history, including rocket design, testing, and launch operations, has cost less than Facebook paid for Instagram.
- It's only been half an hour in Vietnam so far, but the mosquitoes appear to be winning.

"I don't know about the rest of your recommendations, but I'll have to give your NEX recommendations a big thumbs down. Besides the crap lens lineup, they're also physically huge, defeating the purpose of carrying around a "compact" system. The only pancake (16mm f/2.8) is optically horrendous. Sony has released its E-mount lens roadmap so it's easy to tell what your options will be. I'm not impressed. Due to lack of microlenses/compensation, you'll get magenta casts that make wide angle legacy lenses unusable (go w/ m43 or a GXR), and if you're looking for video, the NEX's overheat and shut down after about 15 minutes (go w/ a GH2). A few other things: the Sony sensor is APS-C sized (the same size as the Fuji X-Pro1, which has better IQ and an OVF), but that doesn't translate into significantly better IQ. Tests w/ the new Olympus OM-D EM-5 shows similar base DR, and better low-light performance w/ the Oly (a bit of a tossup on DR, but much better AF w/ the latter). The EM-5 is..." - - Re: Don't buy this stuff right now - http://thewirecutter.local/2012...
