		<description>I don&#039;t think even the hardest Libertarian argues that utilities where competition would be wasteful aren&#039;t a good use of government. Who wants 20 power companies all running their own wires around the country. The items listed here as government success (some of which are questionable as successes any longer - EPA, FCC, DOT) only cover a tiny fraction of government spending. Saying &quot;look, you have the internets now! See government is great&quot; is a pretty weak argument in support of more government in all other (and very personal) areas of life. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The quantity of money government spends far exceeds tax revenue, and even with all the borrowing the middle-class in America is being taxed to death to pay for all the waste. Dreaming up new programs without retiring about 50% of the old ones is just going to bury what&#039;s left of our economy in fees, fines, red tape and taxes.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Oh and the Federal Reserve Bank is NOT a government agency. Does that even need to be said still?</description>
